The Arbitration Academy Is Established

The Arbitration Academy has been established in cooperation among Ibn Haldun University, Presidency of Administrative Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic and Istanbul Commerce University.

The signing ceremony of the protocol regarding the establishment was held on Monday, April 5, at Ibn Haldun University with the participation of President Prof. Recep Şentürk and the President of Istanbul Commerce University Prof. Yücel Oğurlu.

The Development of the “Arbitration” Body in the Country is Targeted

The Arbitration Academy aims at contributing to the development of the arbitration institution in the country. The Academy will train national and international arbitrators and arbitration lawyers in Turkey. It will be responsible for holding activities related to the arbitration, training researchers and practitioners who can deliver qualified researches in the field of arbitration and contribute to the practice, conducting historical, sociological and other scientific researches in the field of arbitration, establishing specialized libraries to increase the quality of research in the field, producing publications available for free electronic access and publishing articles on current pressing issues.

The academy, in which basic and advanced arbitration training will also be provided, will plan and encourage supporting graduate and doctoral studies, organizing national and international academic events, symposiums, conferences and workshops and produce publications derived from them, cooperating with other national and international institutions and organizations.
